Allium schoenoprasum – (Perennial) (60–80 days) Chives, with their delicate, oniony flavor are a staple for the kitchen garden. The flower heads have a very mild flavor and are perfect in salads, as a garnish or as a decorative addition to vinegars. They are useful as a companion plant throughout the garden to help reduce the insect population. Certified Organic.
Planting instructions: Plant in the garden, directly where the plant will grow. Plant seeds ⅛ " deep and 1" apart. When seedlings are 2" tall, thin to 6" apart. Moderate water. Partial to full sun. Suitable for containers.
