Cichorium intybus –(85 days) A popular European salad vegetable that was introduced by the Egyptians, & is gaining popularity in Canada. Forming heads of dark red leaves with stark white veining it adds colour & texture to salads. Certified Organic.
Planting instructions: Direct sow into moist, well–drained soil after last frost. Scratch into soil, thin seedlings when large enough to handle to 12" apart. Later sowings will be less prone to bitterness. Moderate water. Full sun.
