Raphanus napus – (90–100 days) (Hardy Biennial) A rutabaga variety known for sturdy, purple tops, robust growth and good resistance to diseases. Roots have bright yellow flesh and with mildly spicy flavor.
Planting Instructions: Sow seed as early as the soil can be worked. Sow thinly ¼–2" deep. Space young plants to 4–6" apart in rows 24–30" apart. For the main storage crop, plant in late June or early July, so that roots can develop in the warmer weather. Moderate water. Full sun.
